Yes.animal research is a moral crime because we are putting that animal in pain testing the results without even thinking what that animal could be under going.Rats are the best examples for these kind of lab testings.
 
It is not the crime. If we will not use the animals for testing and researching them on whom we whom should take this risk. Moreover researches are made for the benefits of human beings and are tested mostly on rats whose inhabitants will always be there. So there should be no problem at all with that issue.
