Dundalk Institute Of Technology
Dundalk Institute of Technology is in an exciting process of change and development.
New courses, in areas such as Nursing, Creative Arts, Sports Management, Business Studies and in the Engineering and Computing fields are now coming on stream. More new programmers are at the planning stage.
The Mission in the Institute is to create a dynamic learning environment for all the students. This involves a commitment to course provision which responds to the aptitudes and ambitions of the students with an unrelenting focus on excellence. It also means that the physical, social and cultural environment of the campus is both stimulating and caring, responding in a holistic way to the needs of the students. An ambitious campus development programmed is now underway. The building houses a wonderful new Library and Information Resource Centre as well as additional classroom and performance space. The new Student Bar, Crèche and additional sporting facilities were also opened last year. Plans are now well advanced for a new Nursing Building and for the refurbishment of the recently acquired Carroll's building for Computing. Work is well advanced on the development of four new sports pitches and preliminary design work on additional indoor sports facilities is now underway.
