Who doesn't know about IPL? The billion dollar baby of Indian Cricket which is probably the most branded organisation in India.

A perfect example for effective brand building should be Team KKR which is effectively through Sharukh Khan and very less for their performance. Undoubtedly, the most POPULAR team but not the best playing team.

Next will be Chennai Super Kings for its performances and big hitting names. Not to forget what a credit Dhoni, Hussey, Raina, Bollinger, Muralidhara(Ex- CSK player) gave to the Brand CSK. Certainly the best team you can see.

Team Mumbai Indians, a team certainly worth it as a good playing group. It is like an one man army and you know who it is - Sachin Tendulkar.

Last comes RCB, credits to Mallaya who is famous for his liquor company, big hitting Gayle and Dilshan. Thanks to the Mallaya family, Deepika Padukone to have created a stable brand. Wait, doubt still arises if the name is for the Team or for their company.

Notable point is that these companies are owned by big shots and big companies in India:

  • SHARUKH KHAN - Red Chilly Ent
  • Reliance
  • Coramandel Cements
  • Kingfisher, Royal Challengers.

Now, are we able to relate the success of these teams as a good Brand which are actually related to big companies who effectively continue to route into the society through commodities and business.

Anyone up for discussion? But lets not fight about Team support!
