A. 'No Parking. No Halt. Success Nonstop!' is a self help book for career success. It has 50 career lessons for today’s 20teen generation.
The book exposes a number of facts about the work world. The 50 career success lessons portrayed in this book intend to develop a series of impacts that can reinforce key ideas in the minds of the readers and propel them to the top in every endeavour. This book is a must read for every aspiring individual who wants to race ahead in the world of opportunities.
Business professionals of the 20teen generation, through all levels of an organisation will benefit from the 50 career success lessons presented in this book.
By identifying and adopting these lessons they will be able to:
# Stand head and shoulders above competition.
# Raise their visibility.
# Advance in career.
# Appear inspiring and electrifying at work.
# Potentially change the world around them.
As change is a long term process, the lessons in this book are arranged in 13 sections; there are 4 lessons for every month of the year and 2 all time best lessons. Each lesson gives an insight into what really works in the work world and raises provoking questions. You can make the best of this book by reflecting on these questions deeply to get a better understanding of yourself, your work world and what you need to change to survive and thrive in the that world.
Q. What attracted you to write this book?
A. I started blogging on career and management related topics in 2010. I got a very positive response from my readers and that inspired me to write this book. Blogging also helped me in fine-tuning my writings.
Q. According to you, what is management all about?
A. Not just management, I feel everything in the work world including leadership is all about people. There can be no bigger competitive advantage than to know how to deal with people correctly and effectively…and those who are successful know this BEST!
Q. What motivates you to do your best on the job?
A. I don't believe in the idea of forced motivation. What I mean is that you cannot force yourself to be motivated by reading a book or by listening to someone. True motivation comes when you have an inclination to make real changes and are not afraid of commitments! Also your self-image should be in sync with what you are aiming to do.
A strong desire to do things that I do and in the best possible way, keeps me motivated.
Q. What is your management style to solve a problem?
A. I solve problems through 'effectual reasoning'.Effectual Reasoning is based on the logic that 'to the extent you can control the future you do not need to predict it'. Also I try to focus on imagining possible new endings using a given set of means.
Q. What have you gained after completing your MBA / Masters?
A. MBA helped me in three ways primarily. 1. It helped me in getting higher salary. Though is may sound crude but it is a fact that in majority of jobs if you are an MBA you would earn better. 2. MBA helps in growing your strategic network. I was able to build a solid network during my MBA which has always helped me in my career. 3. MBA helped me in learning how to push myself out of my comfort zone. There were specific subjects/projects which I never enjoyed but had to complete. That taught me a lot.
Q. Is the Name of the Institute from where a student does his/her graduation important while entering into corporate world?
A. Action always speaks louder than words. I agree a strong institute brand helps in the initial stages but eventually your work, networks and people skills determine your success.
Q. Tell me about your proudest achievement?
A. The best is yet to come.

I am proud of being awarded an IQ of 156 on cattel scale by Mensa International, which places me in the top 1 percentile of the worlds' population.
Q. What advice would you like to give to someone aspiring to write a book?
A. If you enjoy writing, you should write. Writing is a therapy. You should write for yourself first. Your writing may become the greatest source of happiness. If there is passion and commitment in what you write people will relate to it and soon you will have a decent reader base. Blogging is a good way to start. Always try to get feedback from your readers, engage well with them and keep improvising.
