1. WHAT ARE UR WEAKNESSES?
This is quiet a tricky question. Here focus on overcoming the hurdles and minimize commenting on Ur weakness as much as possible. It wud be better if u focus on Ur professional qualities rather than personal qualities. Care should be taken that u emphasize on Ur strengths.


2. WHY SHUD WE HIRE U?
Emphasize on Ur strengths and tell them
• What u can do for the company? And
• How having you will add value to the company?
Recollect all Ur experiences and tell them about how Ur contribution has proven valuable for your previous employer.


3. WHY DO U WANT TO WORK HERE?
Here care shud be taken as not to give Ur interviewer the impression that u posted Ur resume just bcoz there was a vacancy. U cud answer by saying that the long term goals of the company match Ur own and that u r confident of the contribution u can make in the company.


4. WHAT ARE UR GOALS?
Instead on elaborating on long term goals, it wud be better if u concentrate on Ur short term goals and link Ur goals with that of the company.

5. WHY DID U LEAVE / LEAVING UR JOB?
Whether u r employed or unemployed, state the reason in a positive context.
If u r unemployed, then talk about the useful things u did on Ur break from employment.
In case if u r currently employed then u can talk about why u want to leave Ur present job. Make sure u dont come across as a job hopper.

6. WHAT U CAN DO FOR US THAT OTHER CANDIDATES CAN’T?
What makes u unique? This will take an assessment of Ur experiences, traits and skills.
Summarize concisely:
“I have a unique combination of strong technical skills, and the ability to build strong customer relationships. This allows me to use my knowledge and break down information to be user-friendly.”


7. WHAT DO U KNOW ABOUT THIS INDUSTRY?
This question is basically meant for assessing the depth of Ur knowledge about the industry in question. If u r new to the area, u may have to research this question before u attend the interview. O shudnt spend long time answering this question. After all, the interviewer knows the answer.
Give a brief synopsis of the industry and where u believe the firm sits within the industry.

8. WHAT KIND OF SALARY ARE YOU SEEKING?
When preparing for the interview u shud try to discover the salary range for the job from the HR dept or Recruitment Consultant. This info will put u in strong position when time comes to negotiate Ur salary.
U shudnt give a specific number unless u r pressured. Instead u shud specify Ur value relative to a ‘salary band’. Most firms have salary bands for each position. U shud aim to negotiate a salary towards the peak of the range for the position in which u r interviewing.
If u r pushed for a specific salary, respond with a target range. This will help lay the groundwork for future negotiations. U shud qualify urself by specifying that Ur answer is based on the information that u have to hand about the job. Do not give the actual range that would satisfy u, as Ur prospective employer ma try to bargain u down at a later point.
For example, if Ur target salary range is 26,000 – 30,000. U shud specify a higher range such as 28,000 – 32,000.


9. TELL ME ABOUT URSELF?
The key to answer the question is staying focused on Ur primary objective here – selling urself as an employee. With this in mind, answer this question in light of Ur overall interview strategy.
Don’t describe Ur record collection, Ur favorite movies or Ur pet’s names.

WOULD WORKING IRREGULAR HOURS CAUSE A PROBLEM?
In today’s world modern working environment most jobs require flexibility with respect to Ur working hours. By expressing Ur willingness to work irregular hours or do overtime u will impress upon the interviewer Ur eagerness to succeed and contribute to the firm.
