Human Research department is a link between the top management and the workers or we can say that its acts like bridge between the employees and the employers. It is basically concerned with human relationship within the organization and helps in maintaining smooth relationship between employee and employer. It is art of getting things done by other people. Manpower is the most important resource among all the resources. Factors such as funs, machineries, technological advancement etc. those are required in order to run organization, nothing will work if an organization doesn’t have sufficient manpower and suitable managerial persons and practices. Human resource is the greatest asset of any business enterprise. The workers are the heart of the organization. It is the manpower that operates the machines, processes the raw materials into a finished product and makes it possible to sale in the market. Henceforth we can say that personal management is the most essential department of an organization in order to have a proper manpower planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling in order to achieve individual, social and organizational goals. Padmavati Engineers(India) believes that in less manpower but providing best facilities in case of quality, services etc. so, there are only three persons in HR department in Padmavati Engineers(India).

29

HR Planning
HR planning is the most vital part of HR department as because HR manager create a policy related to HR planning. Basically HR planning is a one kind of man power planning process. In this process HR manager envisages the future man power requirement in firm. HR planning is required because to demolish

contingency. HR planning is basically created to chase the future man power requirement and production will not discontinue if any kind of problem occurs in firm. In Padmavati Engineers(India) HR planning is also

done by HR manager to wrestle with future man power requirement. HR planning is directly alliance with future activity. In Padmavati Engineers(India) HR manager also create one kind of strategy to wrestle with future activity and any kind of interrupting will not taken place while production hence HR planning will taken place in organization. Method of Manpower Search
Manpower search is also indispensable in company. Company is doing plenty of activity regarding manpower searching they are also doing internal as well as external manpower search. Method of manpower search

Direct Method

Sometimes, Padmavati Engineers(India) also uses the Third Party Method at the time of selection of high level person like general manager, head of various department etc.

33

Induction
Induction is a process familiarizing. Unless employee in not become familiarize with firm hence induction is requirement. If company is massive then induction process is needed. Induction gives sketch of company to novice employee. Induction also gives idea regarding Routine work, Rules & regulation of company, Terms & condition of company Idea abut company existence, familiarizing with different department, familiarizing with hierarchy, Idea about Plant & location. In Padmavati Engineers(India) induction process is still exist because company is massive. If employee is not aware about company history, present and future he or she will not become good employee in any firm. In Padmavati Engineers(India) when employee is novice at that time company provide induction to newly recruit employee. In induction Padmavati Engineers(India) provide basic about company, familiarizing with different department, familiarizing with hierarchy, Idea about Plant & location, familiarizing with mission and vision of company, Plant visit etc. are the part of Padmavati Engineers(India) induction.
34

If induction is not providing to newly recruit employee it will become dazed for employee because employee is not only novice but also callow then induction is the only one way to demolish future problem. If induction is not providing properly then it’ll create a massive problem for not only employee but also company. So, from above statement we can make out that the how induction plays a key role in life of employee. Induction is uniqueness of company if employee astonish then he’ll or she’ll give the good result to company. While doing job induction is a base in employee’s life.

39

Salary and wages administration is also one of the activities of HR department. In any company employees are working for their bread and butter otherwise they are not able to work in the firm so, wages and salary make satisfy to employee in terms of bucks. In Padmavati Engineers(India) wages and salary distribution is excellent and employees are also satisfied with their salary and wages. Employee Welfare
40

Employee welfare gives pep talk to employee. Employee welfare is the essential part of any company success or fiasco. Employee welfare enhances the involvement of employee in company. Not only in India context but also in global context this issue is become very hot. If company is not put emphasis on this issue it will prevent the company is growth because company’s real asset are their employees and employees is not satisfy with company’s term and condition it’s bad sign for any company. Padmavati Engineers(India)also take care of this issue because they know if employees are not satisfied with our term and condition we are not able to reach at our goal. If king has to win the battle he has to take care of his army if he’s become fiasco in this matter he’s not able subjugate the battle.Padmavati Engineers(India)term and condition is also very liberal. They are also providing plenty of facility to their employee in many different ways. Hence HRM department of Padmavati Engineers(India)also take care of this issue so any kind of dilemma will not occur in future.

Dispute & Grievances
41

The work of HR department is very crucial in any firm as because HR department has a potential to handle anything related to employee and they are also providing training and development to employee and they are also figure out the dispute and grievances if it happen to employee. In Padmavati Engineers(India)if dispute and grievances are arise then the HR manager figure out in such way that it’s not arise in future and dilemma will not taken place in firm at all. Dispute and grievances is very complicated thing in the firm as because if it’s arising then to figure out is very hard thing for anybody. So, we can understand that what’s the genuine significant of HR department in any firm. In any firm hardest thing is that how to control employee in such manner that he or she will not feel bad regarding HR department verdict and if he or she will feel that HR department gave bias decision then it’ll create massive dilemma in company. “Employee is company’s asset and if manager doesn’t take care of that then they’ll be blot”

INTRODUCTION
Undoubtedly, money occupies a key position in the capitalistic economy of the most modern age. One of the most important functions of the top management is to raise finance at a right quantity and also to use it most effectively. In fact, this faction constitutes the core of financial management. Money is the life-blood of modern business. “Money is pivot around which all economic activities run”. Money is required to purchase expensive machinery and also for day-today expenses of raw material, labor and operational and administrative needs of business. Execution of expansion plans and modernization programs are not possible without adequate finance. Thus, money can be described as the lifeblood of industry. Meaning of Finance Management: “Finance Management is concerned mainly with such matters as how a business corporation raises its finance and how it makes use of it.” - HOAGLAND

48

SOURCES OF FINANCE
Sources of finance are also play an important role. There are many financial sources available for the company. Company has to decide that by which Way Company gets finance easily. Company gets finance by the external and internal sources as well as long term or short term sources. It depends upon company that which way company select. Company has to think that in which way company get money at minimum rate.

? Padmavati Engineers(India)takes finance from the UTI, & SBS when company requires money. And company also invests
its profit in the company.

WORKING CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Company is made of long term capital, short term capital, working capital, etc. Working capital combines with current assets. Working capital is one type of current asset. Working capital is used in day to day activities .The importance of working capital mgt. is reflected in the fact that financial managers spend a great deal of time in managing current assets and current liabilities. Arranging short-term financing, negotiating favorable credit terms, controlling the movement of cash, administering accounts receivable, and monitoring the investment in inventories consume a great deal of time of financial managers.

Working capital = Current assets – Current liabilities

49

The goal of working capital management is to manage the firm’s current assets and liabilities in such a way that a satisfactory level of working capital is maintained. There are two concepts of working capital 1. Gross working capital 2. Net working capital Gross working capital = owned working capital + borrowed working capital Net Working Capital = Current assets – Current Liability Padmavati Engineers (India) „s working capital is shown in below. 2007 : 2,27,83,210.64 – 86,69,973.86 = 1,41,13,236.78 2008: 2,81,34,521.88 – 1,34,14,886.32 = 1,47,19,635.54

50

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Inventory plays a vital role. It is most important. So its management is also important. There are three types of inventories. 1) Raw Materials 2) Work In Progress 3) Finished Goods Raw material is an input in making the final products. Company has to arrange such system that company gets enough raw materials in regular time. Work in progress also known as stock in process. The good which is in intermediate stage of production is called work in progress. Finished good consist of final products that are ready to sale. Finished good is final product. ? Benefits of holding inventory: Organization inventories are maintained to widen the latitude in planning and scheduling successive operations. Raw material inventory enables a firm to decouple its purchasing and production activities to some extent. It provides flexibility in purchasing and production
51

.The firm can wait for an opportune buying moment without affecting its production schedule.

CASH MANAGEMENT
Cash the most important to the daily operation. While the proportion of corporate assets held in the firm of cash is very small, often between 1 and 3%. But its efficient management is crucial to the solvency of the business because in a very important sense cash is the total point of fund flows in a business. In view of its importance, it is generally referred to as the “life blood of a business”. Why does a firm needs cash? There are three possible motives for holding cash: 1) Transaction motive 2) Precautionary motive 3) Speculative motive 1) Transaction Motive: Firm needs cash to their transaction needs. The collection of cash is not disbursement of cash. Hence, some cash balance is required as a buffer. 2) Precautionary Motive: There may be some uncertainty about the magnitude & timing of cash inflows from sale of goods & services issuance of securities. 3) Speculative Motive:

52

Firms would like to tap profit making opportunities arising from fluctuation in commodity prices, security prices, interest rates and foreign exchanges rates. ? Padmavati Engineers(India) has do well cash management. Company takes enough cash balance on hand. So company can do day to day activities easily.

53

LEVERAGE ANALYSIS
Leverage analysis plays a crucial role in the business. Leverage analysis helps company to know the performance of the company. If all the costs of a firm are variable in nature, profits will vary proportionally with sales. This means that an x per cent variation in sales will lead to an x per cent variation in profit. In the real world, however, several costs remain fixed, at least in the short run, with respect to output (sales). Some of them are operating costs and some of them are financial costs. Leverage is mainly two types: 1) Operating Leverage 2) Financial Leverage

1) Operating Leverage:
Operating leverage refers to the extent to which the firm has fixed operating costs. A firm with high operating leverage will have relatively high fixed costs in comparison with a firm with low operating leverage. Formula of operating leverage: Degree Of Operating Leverage : Contribution / EBIT Where ,EBIT = Earning before interest and tax. 2) Financial Leverage:

54

Financial Leverage refers to the extent to which the firm has fixed financing costs arising from the use of debt capital. A firm with high financial leverage will have financing costs compared to a firm with low financial leverage. Now we see the formula of Financial Leverage: Degree Of Financial Leverage : EBIT / EBT

RATIO ANALYSIS
We have to calculate the ratio of the finance to know the financial strength of the company. That’s why I had taken different ratios to find out the Profitability, liquidity, and solvency. On the basis of that we can know the better so for that I am doing a comparative study of Financial Statement of year 2007 & 2008 of Padmavati Engineers(India). This can be as follows. Ratio analysis is a powerful tool of financial analysis. A Ratio is defined as “the indicate quotient of two mathematical expressions” and as “the relationship between two of more things.” In financial analysis, a ratio is used as benchmark for evaluating the financial position and performance of a firm. The absolute accounting figure reported in the financial statements does not provide a meaning full understanding of the performance and financial position of a firm. An accounting figure conveys meaning when it is related to some other relevant information. The relationship between two accounting figures, expressed mathematically, is known as a financial ratio. Ratios help to summaries large quantities of financial data and to make qualitative judgment about the firm’s financial performance. The point to note is that a ratio reflecting quantitative relationship helps to form a qualitative judgment.

55

]

? Ratio Analysis:
To know the financial efficiency management I had taken a ratio analysis as a tool of research and for that I have classified the Ratios in a four different category which can be as follow: 1. Liquidity Ratio 2. Leverage Ratio 3. Activity Ratio 4. Profitability Ratio

Calculation of ratios :

1. Gross Profit Ratio = Gross Profit/ Sales *100 2007: 1,03,91,667 /4,71,72,298 *100 = 22 %

56

2008: 1,39,20,475.56/6,89,36,348.85 * 100 = 20 % 2. Net Profit Ratio = Net profit/ Sales *100 2007: 12,65,697.72/4,71,72,298.00 *100 = 2.68 % 2008: 18,50,466.56/6,89,36,348.00 *100 = 2.68 % 3. Stock turnover Ratio = Cost of good sold/ Average stock Cost of good sold = Sales – Gross Profit 2007: 4,71,72,298.00 - 1,03,91,667.00 = 3,67,80,631.00 2008: 6,89,36,348.85 – 1,39,20,475.56 = 5,50,15,873.29

Average Stock: Opening Stock + Closing Stock / 2

2007: 27,56,006.00 + 36,68,903.41 / 2

57

= 32,21,454.705 2008 : 36,68,903.00 + 29,24,829.64 / 2 = 32,96,866.32

Stock Turn over Ratio 2007 : 3,67,80,631 / 32,12,454.705 = 11 Time 2008: 5,50,15,873.29 / 32,96,866.32 = 16 Time

Current Ratio = Current Assets / Current liabilities 2007 : 2,27,83,210.64 / 86,69,973.86 = 2.62 :1 :4,829.64 / 1,34,14,886.32 = 2.18:1

Debit Ration = Debaters / Credite Sales * 365

58
