There was a lot of news about the IT honchos in the recent past.Some are quitting the company they have founded,some are sacked.The most important when a CXO leaves a company is that "Who is the best person to replace him - an insider or an outsider?".One school of thought says that there is no better person than an insider who knows about every fabric of the business.One of the top Indian IT companies has followed this suit and appointed an insider as a CEO.Another school of thought says that an outsider will always bring fresh perspective & fresh thoughts into business and will identify new areas for generating revenues than an insider.Search engine Yahoo hired a new CEO to turnaround the company.
