The Open Quiz Festival at IIM Kozhikode
11th and 12th February 2011[/b]
Atharva, the quiz club of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode presents Infinite Bounds 2011, the first ever open quiz festival of the institute. The first edition of this festival aims to highlight the rich quizzing tradition of the institute while at the same time bringing together the best quizzers from across the country.
In this edition, the festival would comprise of three quizzes, conducted over 11th and 12th February. All three quizzes are open to both students and corporates, pitting the best brains from both fields against each other, in the serene environment of God’s own Kampus.
The festival would begin on 11th February with ‘Mahabharatha’, the India Quiz, conducted by Atharva, with prize money of Rs. 10,000 in cash. On the 12th, we’ll have two back-to-back quizzes conducted by some of the most prominent quizmasters in the country. In the afternoon, quizmaster Thejaswi Uduppa, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and the past winner of national-level quizzes such as BT Acumen and Tata Crucible, will conduct “Mélange: the Music, Entertainment, Literature and Arts (MELA) Quiz” with a prize money of Rs. 20,000 in cash. It will be followed by “The General Quiz: Life, the Universe and Everything”, conducted by an IIM Kozhikode alumnus, Shamanth Rao. The winner of several quizzes such as Brand Equity Quiz, BT Acumen and the University Challenge on BBC World, Shamanth is one of the leading quizzers of his generation. The General Quiz would also have prize money of Rs. 20,000 in cash.
Infinite Bounds 2011 [/b]represents [/b]IIM Kozhikode’s entry into the exclusive club of institutes with a dedicated quizzing event. A showcase of the quizzing nerve centre of the region, the festival promises to become an annual event on the quizzing calendars of every quizzer.
