When Google announced India born Sunder Pichai as its new CEO, we clapped our hands and blew our whistles. One more Indian joined the highest corporate ranks in the world.

But, at the same time, it is disheartening to watch the Indians choosing opportunities abroad. Is it our education system’s inability to raise future leaders or is it the web of bureaucracy that leads to brain drain – we are still debating. Why do Sunder Pichai, Satya Nadella and Indra Nooyi need to be the ‘managers’ to the ‘founder-leaders’? With the sheer amount of entrepreneurial talent they have, why can’t they give India its own Google, Microsoft and Pepsi?

We may be expecting too much at this point of time, but the new age Indian startups are showing promise. The India-bred talent is returning home from Silicon Valley. Innovation, entrepreneuship and leadership scenario in India is blossoming like never before.
