Indian National Days are Just Holidays .. ??

Do you think that it is fair to declare national holiday on National Days (like Republic day & Independence day and so on)??
After a long fight and long wait we got these days gifted by real Indians. And how do we welcome it by sitting at home, or enjoying evening at mall, and we get special offers in these special days, some discounting coupons, sales offers and all ?

So here, the question is how should we celebrate it? No work at all, or we should take one step ahead to make our constitution more strengthen.
 
dont you think we are utilizing all time to pamper our self on these days which give us sense of freedom which came after long fight . i love all these days because i have this day to celebrate & cherish the freedom :)
 
I do agree, but don't you think that just cheering up is not the only way to give respect to those have fought for us ? Don't you think we should take this freedom one step ahead? Don't you think we (government) should try to answer all the pending clearance either for society or the welfare of poor children? Something that can actually reveal the true meaning of National Days. It should just not be a holiday.. :)
 
Yeah, On these special days government should check all his old schemes, was started for our welfare. Government should make a health camp for old people. We should help to our society by resolving its problem. I mean something like that. I am not saying this all are the final to be done, but I am sure when we all will discuss then we will find definitely one thing on which work can be done and it will help not only us but our society, and in turn our country.
 
I know these are but only Ideas are not enough to chance the things, but right actions are very necessary to change the things...
