Indian censorship going overboard ?

The kind of censorship we have today is irrelevant. I feel people on the board should be progressive in their thoughts. Some of them are quite old and only think of the influence the film they are viewing might have on their children.

They think it might be harmful to them, without realizing what their children are doing outside, actually they often have clues to their life style.

I believe the film industry should be given the responsibility of exercising restraint and control over the prevalent medium keeping in mind the sensibility of the audience. The Board can only give it categories for general release. That's the system that prevails in many countries. The emergence of the electronic medium which cannot be controlled and censored, has rendered the board even more irrelevant.
