India had slipped to 78th position far behind China(58th) in the Global Prosperity Index according to London based Lagatum Institute. This is said to be caused by extremely poor infrastructure system, poor educational system and poor healthcare system. The survey was conducted in 110 countries in which Norwey stood at first places. What are the changes that we have observed in the past 10 years to mention??

The prosperity index is based on 89 variables over 110 countries, grouped into eight sub-indices, and claims to comprehensively rank the level of prosperity in 110 nations of the world.

It is done by taking into account both economic growth and citizens' quality of life, drawing on data from various sources, including the Gallup World Poll 2009 and UN development Report.

whatever may be the ranking but india has been showing a good economic growth but the problem is that contribution of the agricultural sector to the gdp is being decreased

Our country has ranked low on education ground (89th in the Index), health wise (95th), entreprenuership and opportunity (93rd), social Capital (105th).
Besides, economy (44th) and goverance (41st) are the 2measures on which India ranks highest.
