India or Abroad?

Simple is the topic of the this little debate but bigger could be the discussion necessary to be spot on.

Why do you think India is a better place or it just isn't place for your higher education?

Why do you think going abroad is choice to do your post graduation? If you are crazy about going abroad and getting paid more after settling in a job. Tell us why it is a better choice and which country makes it easy.

If there are people who are successful now after their PG, it would be better it they could share their views :)
 
I think India will be a better place to do your MBA because the recession may happen and it doesn't make sense to do your MBA from abroad if recession happens. India is a safe bet !!!
 
Its like.....Paying 3 lakhs and getting a 3-8 lakhs package...post higher education (India)

or else...

Investing 20 lakhs in higher education, searching for job for another couple of months after higher education and finally cmg back to India only and joining a job of 3-8 lakhs package...:p

On a Serious note....

At this point of time, its baseless to go abroad and do your higher studies, when each and company is talking about job cuts in US and Europe..So, If one wishes to make a future, avoid going abroad for higher education.

FYI: These are my views and m talking about a average B-School package

An MBA abroad could be great but not necessarily a better option. In fact MBA from lesser known schools in UK, Australia and Canada may not be worth the effort. You could end up spending a lot of money and may have to return to India for a job that requires you to compete with MBAs from the top schools in India. Moreover Indian companies are likely to prefer an Indian MBA to an MBA from a lesser known university abroad. But today in the age of commercialization, we cannot ignore an increasing number of Foreign players in Indian markets who realize the better value.

At the end, of it all, It's up to an individual to weight his/her options and take a decision.
 
This takes the decision to how much one can earn after finishing MBA!

Then how will an individual make a decision if he/she has an opportunity to pursue higher education abroad on scholarship. So, that ends up consider to the quality of education; Is it good in India or abroad?
 
France is a good country but you have to well versed in French to have a perfect time. Same applies to any European country I guess.

Nowadays it is more about the passion to go abroad rather than the passion to pursue higher education.
 
definitely INDIA.
It is one of the fast growing countries.
the universities coming to India observing the potential India has..
further.. being a devloping country, the opportunities and the resources are available in much lower rates.
that's why India :)
 
i think it depends........

India because ya its cheaper and if you get the degree with open mind then its good, you will get a decent job and may b u end up with some sort of business.

Abroad because what i think is the best advantage is the personality development as it will take a lot time to understand and adjust with the differences faced after landing.so it develops u from within and make u ready to face many types of challenges.
 
Okay, India is a developing country and it is definitely one of the fastest growing economy! It is so for the man power and their intelligence but almost most of the jobs are those which are outsourced from other countries like US, UK and the rest of the world. It is outsourced considering the workforce, quality and also the money spent on us can be less.

If we have to consider so, why shouldn't be abroad be a good choice?

Probably 10-20yrs in time, we may be offering jobs to US and UK and people considering studying here than Oxford and other elite list of collegees.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

DO either mba thr..or 1 year certification...

Apply for P>R>

Get settled thr...

Earn 1.5-2 lakhs starting thr...
Expenses will b approx 50-60 max per month...
Savins frm d 1st month will b approx 1 LAKH...which can never b possible in india after 10 years experience also.

Till d time u dont get WHITE COLOR JOB...go for part time jobs,,which r available thr in huge quantities..

GUYS,,ITS A GREAT DEAL..
