Techfest, the Annual Science and Technology Festival of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Mumbai, India is held every January over a period of three days on the IIT Bombay campus. Techfest started off on a small scale in 1998 with the aim of providing a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and in the short period of 10 years has grown to become Asia’s largest festival of its kind.
Over the years TechFest has seen over 3 teams from each of the 1000 participating colleges across India along with teams from countries like USA, Singapore, Nepal, Iran, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Apart from student involvement, Techfest also sees more than 1500 faculty and corporate participants.
