IIM Shillong students win National Level Paper Presentation

Ankit Beeyani and Keshav Sridhar, second year participants from IIM Shillong, won the first place in a National Level Paper presentation event organised by XIMB. The duo authored the best paper on ‘Emerging Trends in Talent Acquisition’, a concept that is gaining rapid momentum in the field of Human Resources. The panel consisted of Mr Anish Singh, HR Director, Reckitt Benckiser, India, Dr SS Ganesh, Professor, XIMB and Ms Kanchana Manyam, AGM- HR, Shapoorji Pallonji and Co.[/b]
There were a total of 71 entries from top B-Schools across Indian from which the top three papers were selected for final presentation at the XIMB premises. The other two teams were from MDI Gurgaon and the home team, XIMB. The paper entailed details of the paradigm shift in talent nurturing, long term strategic utility and the changing forces in the labour market. The audience and the panel were engaged with the mushrooming concept and the lucid examples quoted in the paper. [/b]
‘The experience was certainly necessary. When you see HR enthusiasts, ideas and industry leaders brain storming on the human element of organisations, multiple perspectives are garnered. This certainly opens up newer ideas that can be implemented in the practises of HR’ says Ankit.
