Backwaters, IIM Kozhikode’s annual national management festival launched its unique management
workshop series, Shiksha in association with Madhyamam. Shiksha will be held on the 18th and 19th of November, 2011 in the IIM Kozhikode campus and is a golden opportunity for under-graduate and postgraduate students in this region to partake of valuable lessons from the IIM Kozhikode faculty, expert industry speakers as well as interact with IIM Kozhikode students.
This initiative of IIM Kozhikode is just another step in its continuous efforts to use its resource base to facilitate advisory and counselling opportunities with the aim of further/consequent development of
this region. In the month of August, IIM Kozhikode had organised a Management Development Program for the Kerala Cabinet which received rave reviews.
More details of this program which is open to all under-graduates as well as post-graduate management students in management in the state can be had at www.iimkbackwaters.com. Whilst the thrust of the program for under-graduate students would be on personality development and career counselling with sessions on marketing and finance, the one for post-graduate students will be a simulated IIM classroom experience with cases, insights from lecture series’, and simulation games with a regional flavor.
Competitive events open to Shiksha participants will also be a unique feature of this program with
attractive cash prizes for the winners. With IIM Kozhikode faculty members involved in the design of this program, Shiksha represents a golden opportunity for students to get a feel of life at what is now popularly known as God’s own Campus.
