Final Placements – Batch of 2011: Highlights[/b]
Salary figures:[/b]
· Average package for domestic offers = Rs. 17.6 LPA (up from Rs. 15.32 LPA last year).
· The figures were internally audited by a team of faculty members headed by the Placement Chairperson, Prof. Amit Dhiman. The whole process took a month and a half.
· The lowest salary offered was 7.5 Lakhs which is the HIGHEST across IIMs A, B and C.
· Largest batch across all IIMs (384 students) placed in a record time of 5 days.
· “Finance Campus” of India: Yet again, Finance ruled the roost with 31.3% students opting for finance roles.
· Consulting followed with 23.7% students opting for it. This figure does not include those placed in IT consulting firms. Marketing was opted for by 21.6% students.
· Highest number of PPOs across IIMs including those at international locations in New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and London.
· 87.5% conversion rate (Highest among IIMs) of PPOs in the top 4 consulting firms – Mckinsey, BCG, Bain and AT Kearney.
· These top 4 consulting firms have made the HIGHEST number of offers (35) at IIMC across IIMs.
· Highest number of Investment banking offers.
· Mckinsey made international offers (Singapore and Sydney) while Arthur D Little offered roles in Dubai. McKinsey made Sydney offers only at IIM C, contrary to the claims by sister IIMs.
· Essex Lake Group, a global consulting firm, recruited exclusively from IIMC.
· Daiwa Capital, a Japanese-based investment bank recruited 6 students exclusively from IIMC.
· Gaja Capital, a private-equity firm recruited 3 students exclusively in Final Placements from IIMC.
· UBS made the HIGHEST number of offers (5) in Final Placements across IIMs.
· Olam International offered a trading profile in Singapore – one of the only two campuses in India. Created a position in structuring exclusively for an IIM C student.
· DPDHL offered international roles in its in-house consulting arm.
· HIGHEST number of lateral placement offers (145) among the top 3 IIMs.
· Total number of offers made in Slot Zero (200) is HIGHEST across all campuses in the country.
· P&G made 11 offers in Sales and Marketing, including that of those in Singapore.
· Dabur also made an international offer for New Business Development in Dubai.
· ICICI made 19 offers in roles such as M&A and Treasury.
· Bloomberg returned to campus after a hiatus to recruit.
· CRISIL selected students for strategy roles.
· Nielsen & Co. selected students for their Emerging Leadership Program in the finance domain.
