Premium car manufacturer, Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) on Wednesday said it plans to come out with a premium small car in the country besides setting up a second plant to augment its production capacity.
During the launch of the company's new version of Honda CR-V, Jnaneswar Sen, Senior General Manager- Marketing said the company was studying the market and would come up with a new model.
The company also proposes to set up a second plant in India, apart from scaling up capacity at its present plant, he said.
HSCI already has a capacity of producing 50,000 cars at its Greater Noida facility, which Sen said would be doubled by next year. The company would be investing Rs 450 crore on the expansion, he said.
