The SSC multi tasking staff notification is a great opportunity to find jobs in different states and unitary territories under the central government departments with just the 10thclass qualification. Under any circumstances the central government notifications keep on releasing and recently the staff selection commission multi tasking staff (non technical category) has been released for filling in the vacancies. In most of the exams questions are being based on general knowledge or awareness, numerical ability, logical reasoning and knowledge in Basic English. SSC MTS Notification details:

Posts: multitasking (non technical) staff

Education qualification: 10th class pass or equivalent

Age limit: 18 to 25 years ( by 1.1.2014)

Selection process: written test

Application form fees: Rs100 (no fees for women, SC, ST, physically handicapped, ex-serviceman)

SSC Online Application process for MTS Jobs: Should be applied either online or offline. Those applying in offline should pay through the central recruitment fee stamp. Those applying online should pay through state bank of India debit card or net banking.

Submission of application: The application should be taken print out or should be filled in the given format along with attaching the education certificates before the last date of submission to the regional/sub regional commission office.

Last date for application: 13/12/2013

Last date for Part I registration: 11.12.2013

SSC MTS Written test format:

There shall be two papers for written test. They are paper I( objective), paper II ( descriptive

ethod)

Paper-I examination format: In paper I 150 multiple choice questions are given. For every wrong answer 0.25 negative marks shall be given. Question paper shall be in English or Hindi. Questions shall be given in 10th standard level.

Syllabus/Preparation:

General intelligence:

In this section questions are given on similarities and differences, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, arithmetic number series and non verbal series. Those who are preparing for other SSC examinations and bank exams can find this section easy. By practicing old question papers regularly one can score good marks in this section.

Numerical aptitude: In this section questions shall be given on number system, computation on whole numbers, decimals and fractions, simple and compound interest, discounts, mensurations, time and distance, time and work, tables and graphs. By practicing old SSC question papers and model papers one can see that they don’t do any mistakes in the problems.

General awareness: In this section the candidates understanding about the events happening around them, changes and the implementing them to the society are tested. Changes happening in the regular day to day events, present situations in the country, and relations of the country with other countries, sports, awards, geography, economy, Indian political conditions, Indian constitution, scientific researches and inventions shall be covered. By going through the newspapers everyday English and telugu and also following the current affairs helps one to score better in this section. One should have knowledge on present sports-winners, the locations of sports events held, awards and cultural activities, new inventions, recruitments, meetings and conferences, new government programs and so on. By discussing these things as a team one can remember these issues for a long time.

SSC MTS Paper II examination pattern:

Short essay or letter writing in English or any local language (as mentioned in the 8th schedule) will be given. For this 50 marks are allotted. Time limit is 30 minutes. This paper is only for qualifying and only those who have qualified in paper I are allowed to attempt Paper II.

General Knowledge: For stock GK any standard book and some websties (Saakshi website)

Along with the above following 6th to 10th maths, social and science academic books shall be helpful. Similarly NSERT 12th class books are also very useful.
