    • Application forms for OPENMAT were available at regional and study centers or could be downloaded from the IGNOU website. The form, including a sample test paper, cost Rs. 550/- (payable via Demand Draft favoring IGNOU New Delhi).
    • Applicants would receive their hall tickets approximately ten days prior to the exam date.
    • OPENMAT results were usually declared within six to seven weeks, with result cards sent to candidates.
    • Successful candidates would then fill out FORM 2 from the prospectus to formally seek admission for either the July or January academic sessions, depending on when they cleared the exam.
  • Current Admission Process (post-OPENMAT discontinuation): As per recent updates, the OPENMAT entrance exam has been discontinued for IGNOU's MBA program. Admissions are now generally direct and merit-based, relying on the academic performance in the candidate's last qualifying degree. The application process is primarily conducted online through the IGNOU admission portal.
