How Much Wealth Is Too Much?

Simple question. Every day we see "the top 10% hold x amount of wealth", and everyone trembles in their boots. But how much wealth should the top 10% own? What is an acceptable level of disparity? We can't get anywhere on solving the imbalance of wealth until we decide just what an imbalance of wealth really is.

As long as people earn in proportion to how much economic value they add, this will be the case. The fact is that in this world there a a few million people who are responsible for the vast majority of the economic value created. And why would you want to discourage these people from creating more wealth? Maybe we should tell Steve Jobs to stop production on the next iPhone? Enough already.
