Today media plays very crucial role...it is d medium which indirectly control the population...

Well in our country media is not controlled by d government...we have hundreds of private news channels...

It is not right to say they are just doing the rubbish thing... they are making people more informed...which is very important in today's world. Media is the only medium which can raise a normal people issue in public.

It is hard to say whether WE shape the media or if the media shapes us. Therefore, ethics plays an important role because unethical television could lead us to believe things and impact us negatively. In the US, freedom of media has also negatively impacted our values as a culture, so there is no easy answer.

yes agry wid u neeraj dey play a vital role, dey help d people aware of all kind of knowledge n info dey should gain

Today entire media industry concentrates on catching the eyeballs of the audiences. There is a competition on who telecasts the news first rather than looking into the what is being telecasted. Moreover, almost all the newschannel will be telecasting the same news. This is sheer duplication and ppl are going to watch anyone of the newschannels. On the otherhand you have rating agencies that rates which news channel is deserving the top spot on one barometer. So you have n rating agencies with m barometric scales which places all the media agencies in the top spot from a particular perspective. All these practises will definitely not improve the quality of the news.

Media is everyday stepping over the laxmanrekha.

Look at news channels. They no longer give news they are tabloids.

Advertisement in broadcast media is full of false claims.

Its a pity nobody controls them.

Nowadays it seems to me that media has become the puppet of some political parties. I am not blaming all of them but may be most of them. They have forgot their main role. They should be honest, fearless, sensible in reporting and need to be the voice of voiceless and helpless.
