You will be rich just after completing MBA: Remember that it will take you two or three times as long as you think it will take to succeed after finishing your MBA from a Business School.

You are smarter than people without an MBA: You were smart enough to get in to Business School. That doesn’t mean you are smarter than other people without an MBA.

You are going to be more creative and entrepreneurial: B-schools promise that after completion of your course you will be more creative and think out of the box. However, that’s not the case.

to add to the above i would like to say or would like to add in the below points as well

Soft skills are least important: Just being an MBA does not mean your team will listen to you. You need to motivate them, listen to them, connect with them, and support them when they need it.

Ivy League MBAs will be even more successful: An Ivy League credential will be a big boost for you on your resume but will not guarantee you career success. Remember Jeff Skilling, who had done his MBA from Harvard and who worked at McKinsey and then went to Enron and drove the company to a financial collapse. Where did his MBA take him?
