  • Introduction

To be a successful HR Manager one should be able to formulate policies that keep employee engagement at it’s highest. While doing so the benefits given to employees should not be compromised. An effective HR Manager is one who can balance employee engagement and employee benefits such that the employees are satisfied and are performing at their best and eventually the company as a whole benefits. Hiranyagarbha aims to bring out this side of effective HR people and to see how good they are at framing and implementing policies.

  • Rules

Students of any B- school across the nation can participate

Any number of entries is allowed from an institute

Mail the submissions to [email protected]

The subject line of the mail should be teamname_institute_policies.

The write-up should be not more than three pages and the page size must be of A4 size and the font should be Times New Roman and text size should be 12 and line spacing 1.5.

The Write-up should be soft copy and only electronic mailed

The participants must send in the entries in the form of teamname_institute .docx

The team Failing to submit within the stipulated date will be disqualified

The policies must be innovative and one of a kind

The policies should serve a specific purpose and must be clear as to its intentions.

The policies should be specific statements, policies in bullet points will not be accepted

6 teams will be shortlisted for the final round

For the final presentation there can be a maximum of 10 slides (excluding title and thank you)

The title slide should have the team name, team members, institute name, degree/course pursued and the contact details of the team members for the final round

Participants must carry their college Identification card on the final day

Selected candidates coming to IFMR campus from outstation will be reimbursed two-way sleeper class train fare and will be provided with accommodation & food during their stay.

In the unlikely event of a change in date/time, you will be informed in advance.

The decision of the jury members will be final and binding

Any incident of plagiarism or violation of any intellectual property rights will not be tolerated and can lead to disqualification of entries.

  • Prize

First Prize : Rs 25,000/-

Second Prize : Rs 15,000/-

Important Dates

Registration Start : January 18th, 2012

Registration closes : January 28th, 2012

Preliminary Round Start : January 24th to 28th, 2012

Submission of Entries for Prelims : January 29th, 2012

Declaration of Results for Prelims : February 3rd, 2012

Final Round : February 18th and 19th, 2012 at IFMR.
