In many cases , what we see in the media is not the truth........ Media offer entertainment, culture, news, sports, and education.... They are an important part of our lives and have much to teach..... But some of what they teach may not be what we want small children to learn.. .....
most children can mimic a movie or TV character, sing an advertising jingle, or give other examples of what they have learned from media. Sadly, these examples may include naming a popular brand of beer, smoking...striking a "sexy" pose, or play fighting etc....

i think media plays an important role in shaping one's perception. advertisements especially!!!
they have their own +ve n -ve aspects.
advertisements help promoting d newly launched products n services. however the information provided may not b correct coz there's no one 2 take care of that. the worst part being glam n sports stars endorsing products! as a result d youth n especially d kids get carried away n then may b a victim of faulty products.
for example d cola drinks. even though reports say they have pesticides, many have still not stopped drinkin em coz stars r campaignin 4 those drinks n den thru media again tellin d ppl that its absolutely safe 2 have em. now whom r we 2 blame if someone spoils his health due 2 these cola drinks????
