The most important event in our nation is over and the verdict is out. This is the time to go to drawing board and derive somethings, not as a party but as citizens of India.I could feel that there was lot of campainging went for this election asking people to vote.Almost all the leading newspapers,TV channels,Internet media ran election campaign asking ppl to vote.In some states, the impact is felt and ppl came in droves to caste their vote. But in some states, particularly in Mumbai the figures are disappointing. But the most expected state is Mumbai. If a country's financial capital is not voting then what can be infered from this? Are the ppl of Mumbai not really concerned about the country or the ppl not really aware of their duty? Some states the voting numbers are good.Does this really represent all the ppl have come to vote or any malpractise being made?

Finally, have the ppl of India started concerning about their country?

i agree wid my frnd but the number of people voting hav increased from the last elections wid encouragement from govt, corporates, media etc

1 more most recent incident being the final bid of $1.8 million of M.gandhi's belongings into the possession of Vijay Mallya gifted to india......we r no longer miserable in front of other nation's like u.s.....

we are rising, people of India are more aware more patriotic now....

With the % of votes that has been casted doesn't seem to look that ppl are really concerned abt nation bcoz, the total vote casted was 60%, ppl in rural Indian seems to be more concerned than urban India

If at all the people are more concerned about the Nation, there would not have been so many issues relating to water sharing in rivers, and caste or language based divisions, etc etc. When a person understand that everything is ONE, then even S/He will not be limited within the borders of so called geographical India. Even the World will be ONE.

Hi,
Indian citizens haven't become concerned about the nation as a whole entity....
we can see patches of concern from masses shown when there are issues related to their neighbourhoods only....Mumbaikar will speak only about Mumbai...Delhite is not bothered what happens outside Delhi.... the main reason for this I see is the fight that Indian citizens have to make for their daily livelihood.....if time permits then only will they think on broader terms.......

Yes very much.Unity has been incrased compared to previous years. Speaking about one's own land is always obvious but when needed we all stand as one. Recent election voting % and the leading party's votes shows that ppl are concerend about the nation.

yes i agree with that but its still lacking a touch as the politicians to whom we vote are still have criminal cases pending on them, something needs to be done in this regard...

The people now-a-days are getting educated and know about each party & its works... They don't want to be ignorant and have atleast the basic knowledge of whats going around them...

The awareness spread through various ads like Tata tea with their Jaago Re campaign have enlightened the young generation to find out about how to vote...

well i think yes. people are more concerned about the nation these days. you can see the voting average that has increased from the last time. now people are getting awarness as well. and the creadit goes to our media that is helping people do more for the nation

I believe that not the people but we individuals should be concerned about the nation.

People can be defined as the body of persons who compose a community, tribe, nation, or race; an aggregate of individuals forming a whole; a community; a nation.

definition itself suggests that the ladder which is been built up and we individuals should be concerned.

i may be wrong, but opinion of individuals may differ.....................

only at troubled times I would say.. the last time I thought India was concerned was when the terrorists attacked in Mumbai... either than calamities we are too worked up living out daily routines!!
