Guest Lecture by Mr. Manav Khanna

Guest Lecture by Mr. Manav Khanna @ DMS IIT DELHI

Strong, positive intentions unite with the energy of the universe and get manifested in reality. There can hardly be a better person to make this statement than one who has actually experienced miracles in his life as a result of positive thinking. Manav Khanna, co-founder and former CEO of SecLore technology and a motivational teacher, took students beyond the realms of technology and management jargon to have them connect with something that can break the limits of self-imposed inhibitions and ego – the realisation of one’s inner power.

As Paulo Coelho says “If you really want something, the entire universe conspires to get it for you” – that is the law of attraction. Mr. Khanna spoke about the law of attraction over which some students shared their experiences. He outlined a four step process to the fulfilment of one’s intentions. First, one should create conscious positive intentions. As a matter of fact, we are normally sure of what we don’t want from our life and environment but what we really want is a perplexing question. Mr. Khanna urged students to focus on what they really want from life. The second process is ‘point of creation’ i.e. start realising your dreams right from the present moment. Sticking on to past memories will give nothing but an unpleasant experience and will make life miserable. He said that we should think in terms of ‘being, doing and having’. That means, we should make use of the resources at our disposal, start working and realise the dreams.

He went on to explain the third process i.e the idea of one being centred in his present. This infuses energy of creativity in one, as one is not excessively worried about future. As per him, we should try to inculcate ‘law of least resistance’ in us. As per the law, one can give his 100% when he aligns himself positively with the energy of the universe which takes care of him. Effortless working for the dream comes when one accepts existing situations as they are. Fighting can give one results but it will drain one’s energy and in the long term, will harm the person himself. Art of Unclutching is the fourth and last process in the logical sequence of realising one’s intentions. After giving one’s best, one should detach oneself from hopes and fears as nothing is in one’s hands. Let universe decide what the best is for you.

The session was quite interactive and filled with logical questions coming from all the corners, as one would expect from a group of future managers. Mr. Khanna explained his views with some nice examples. The session ended with a thank you note and a loud and cohesive cheer from the audience.
