Great frauds in the history

At the moment I ca'nt think of any greater fraud in history than Thomas Edison, who people think of as the greatest inventor in history. In fact many of the inventions for which he was famous were not his own. He claimed the credit for many inventions made by people who worked for him. He was a great businesman, publicist, salesman and fraud.

If anyone can think up a greater fraud than this, post here.

this based on frauds perpetrated By individuals, not systems. :SugarwareZ-158:

Film financer Bharat Shah was caught for misappropriation of assets and was already sentenced to one year in prison on charges of assisting extortion activities of the underworld. He had already 14 months in jail. the joke is our films are still financed from such a person the recent one being the Rascals

ya this india ANY THING CAN HAPPEN

I don't think we can call him a fraud. For example, we give credit of creating iPhone to Steve Jobs when in fact it was made by his employees. And more than that, he took ideas from the products which already existed. He only executed the marketing part quite well!

Even then he is considered as a great innovator! Why? It's because he had the vision to make the things.

Again the telescope was invented by a glass retailer. Galileo developed it further and made it more useful! So, In my opinion, it's fine that we give credit to "Thomas Edison"!
