Education means teaching a person concepts by making him understand and not by gulping of words. A humour but fact is, Government is encouraging it by giving away marks just like distribution of pamphlets. In 2011, SSC exams over 65% of students came first class, 30% scored distinctions with more than 85%. Most of them got 95/100 in languages including English, Hindi and Marathi. If gone through these we can conclude that these students will become Shakespeare (English), Premchand (Hindi) and P.L. Deshpande (Marathi). Never did Shakespeare, Premchand and P.L.Despande score 95/100 for their respective languages.
Students scoring above 80% go for science, from 50% to 80% go for commerce while below 505 go for arts. The system has itself drawn in boundry for field selection. Self-Finance courses like BMM, BMS, BBI, BFM and BAF include presentations as their curriculum. But from 2011, The curriculum changed to only theory part which meant no presentations but an arrival of such an order to recite words all day round.
Education should not be only theortical but should also be practical. if we continue with the same pattern of education then the 14 years of investment in education will be wasted resulting in talkative parrots. Our developing India is based on human resource as a main resource for devlopment. Then, will our india develop with the "Talkative Parrots" system so adopted?
