The district of Srikakulam in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh is located in the extreme northeastern part of the state. The district is bounded by the Bay of Bengal on the East, the state of Orissa on the West and Vizianagaram District of the state of Andhra Pradesh in the South. The district was given this name after the city of Srikakulam, which is the headquarters of the district.
