Intel Technology India, the Indian arm of the global chip technology company Intel, finds the market perception for its new generation desktop `Core 2 Duo' processor is good. "We could sense that from the past four months' sale wherein the Core 2 Duo processor sold higher than the previous generation `Pentium' processors,'' said C. Jaganathan, retail and channel marketing manager, Intel South Asia.
The prime movers in the market for it are 40 percent higher performance benefits in terms of speed and multiple functions over the immediate previous `net-bus' architecture-based Pentium processors, low power consumption and of course the newer form factor (in terms of size), he added. Jaganathan was here in connection with the company's biannual channel conference, an educative/training programme for the system integrators/sellers to update on Core 2 Duo processor, launched in July last.
