Gold sets another record
Gold prices have surged up to record rate of Rs 11030 per ten gram by increasing Rs 10 on the bullion market today due to firm trend in the international market.
Traders said the international market had failed to counter the surge of the commodity since the dollar lost further grounds against leading currencies.
They said gold for February delivery on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange traded at $866.80 an ounce, after touching $872.90 yesterday - highest for the most-active contract since January 21, 1980 when futures touched a record $873.
