In reading this article, I was reminded of the impact Patmon’s success as the kicker in this Army-Navy Game 20 years ago had on his MBA candidacy.* When Patmon applied to Emory’s MBA program 8 years after his graduation from West Point, fellow West Point grads who were enrolled here, reached out to me because they knew who he was. **They proudly shared this story and how impressed they were with Patmon’s ability to stay calm under such tremendous pressure.
