Expanding their ambit of operations, the GMR Group recently set its foot into the field of education, and GMR Aviation Academy (GMR AA) is one such successful initiative of the group.
GMR AA, an extremely professional Aviation Training arm, was set up in 2009, and since then has emerged as a global gateway for aviation learning through tie ups with prestigious aviation bodies like ACI, IATA, ICAO, DGCA and BCAS.
GMR AA is known for its professional standards and an ideal Training Centre for students and professionals of Airports, Airlines, Air Traffic Control, Cargo, Safety, Security, Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, other Airport Service Providers and Corporate Aviation. Academy has its own distinctive advantage of utilizing the airport facilities for hands-on practical experience for the course participants.
GMR AA is an Authorized Training Center (ATC) for various IATA professional courses. With its successful launch and completion of training for the first IATA batch, the Academy is now ready to start admissions for the next batch. IATA training programmes are acknowledged worldwide for providing quality education for aviation professionals as well as for students who wish to start career in aviation. The ongoing training programmes include IATA (3- month part-time) courses in Travel & Tourism, Airport Operations and Cargo Introductory Course.
Apart from the regular classroom trainings, the Academy offers two day airport visit for IATA course participants to enjoy a live experience of aviation functions at the airport. This special feature gives GMR AA, unmatched competitive edge over the other aviation training institutes.
Candidates who have completed their 10+2/Intermediate, and have sound English communication skills are eligible for the courses. Students who are pursuing graduation and working professionals are also eligible to enroll for the courses.
Aspiring candidates must attend an orientation session which is conducted by GMR AA at its premise, free of cost. During this session, the candidates get to know the advantages of being IATA qualified professionals. The admission process is open till 15th Feb 2013, and classes will commence from Mar 2013.
