 CHIEF CHEMIST: September’ 1970 to April’ 1982

Worked as an apprentice Chemist, Shift Chemist, Senior Chemist and Chief Chemist in various/different Arc Furnaces of repute viz. Globe Steels, Faridabad; Escorts Ltd. (MSD), Faridabad; Dabriwala Steels, Faridabad; Haryana Steel & Alloys Ltd, Sonepat; Mohta Ispat Ltd., Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh); Haryana Electro Steel Ltd, Sonepat.

Well versed with both destructive and non-destructive (Tensile Testing & Hardness Testing) testing of Ferrous metals of different grades, of Structural Steels, Forging Steels, Spring Steels and Stainless Steel.

 MELTING ARC FURNACE: May’ 1982 to June’ 1984

Worked, as a Melter Foreman, with Haryana Electro Steel Ltd, Sonepat, having 7–Ton, Hungarian Arc Furnace; wherein, was responsible for production as well as quality controlling of various grades of steels viz. all types of Structural Steels, Forging Steels of En Series and Automobile Spring Steels (Helical Spring Steels).

 MELTING INDUCTION FURNACES: July’ 1984 to August’ 1992

Worked as Melter - cum - Quality Controller, with M/s Shagun Steels Pvt. Ltd, Delhi, having 2 Ton & 3.5 Ton, GEC Furnaces, wherein, was responsible for producing mild steel.

Thereafter, worked as Production Manager, with Shubh Metals Pvt. Ltd, Delhi, having two, 4–Ton Furnaces, wherein, was responsible for producing mild steel and low Alloy steels.

Moreover, was primarily associated with and had actively supervised, the Erection and Commissioning of all these furnaces, as mentioned herein above.

 MANAGER (PRODUCTION & QUALITY CONTROL):
September’1992 to March’2005

Worked, for 13 yrs, as Manager (Production & Quality Control), with Lauls Ltd, Faridabad, on its 1.5 Tons & 4 Tons furnaces, from the initial stage of arranging Labour force and Staff for various jobs for production of Ingots to the finished products for Tor Steel, Deformed Steels, Coiler Steel, Fish Plates for Indian Railways & Construction purposes and Malleable Cast Iron Inserts required for Fast Track Railway Slippers, Stainless Steel and Spring Steels. Here, 1.5 Ton furnace was exclusively used for producing Malleable Cast Iron and 4 Ton furnace was used for producing other qualities of steel including Stainless Steel etc.

At Lauls Limited, I was also entrusted with 12’’–Rolling Mills Production both quantitatively & qualitatively. This Rolling Mill was used for rolling of different sizes of bars.

Further, entrusted with the erection and commissioning of the furnaces. I directly suggested and advised the Managing Director, in all/any situation(s) pertaining to the Quality & Production, Labour & Staff force and Cost of Production.

At Lauls Ltd, there was also a 6 – Ton Arc furnace and a 10 – Ton AOD Vessel, from which, we used to tap out, Low Carbon Ferro-Chrome with the help of Arc & Induction furnaces.

 GENERAL MANAGER:
April’ 2005 to May’ 2006

Worked as General Manager (GM) with Shivangi Steels Pvt. Ltd, at Jhansi (UP). It has two furnaces –

(i) 7–Ton Inductotherm make
(ii) 7–Ton, Electrotherm make.

There was delegated with and responsible for each and every day to day activity of/in the plant. Was therefore, providing multiple benefits to the Management, from Scrap Quality & Other Raw – Materials to Finished Goods of M. S. Ingots of different grades.

 MANAGER (PRODUCTION & QUALITY CONTROL):
June’ 2006 till December.’ 2007

Worked as Manager (Production & Quality Control) at HAYANA STEEL LTD at SONEPAT (HARYANA) looking after Production & Quality of INGOTS produced by its 5-TON Induction Furnace. There, was responsible for suggesting the Management about various cost reduction methods without compromising with the quality and smooth working of Plant. Further, ensured effective implementation of all these suggestions for the benefit of the Management & Plant.

 CONSULTANT (PRODUCTION & QUALITY CONTROL):
July’ 2008 till date

Production Consultant with M/s Steelmakers Ltd., Nairobi, Kenya, at the Athi River Plant. Here I am looking after the smooth production of 3’’x4’’, 31/2’’x41/2’’, 4’’x5’’, 5’’x6’’ Ingots from the 6–Ton Inductotherm Furnace which is used to roll into Deformed Bars, different sizes of other Bars and Angles from 40x40x3 mm to 75x75x6 mm for exports.

Moreover, if anything goes wrong in production and quality in Automatic Mill, I help to sort out the problem and suggest remedial ways to correct them. Further, I suggest the ways from procurement of scrap to the stage of finished rolling materials at different levels to the Management for better and harmonically working.

On behalf of steel makers Nairobi, I was sent to Sotraafer Ltd, at Lumbabashi- D R CONGO, to successfully produce the TMT-GRADE of steel and their rolling in STEFFO TMT MILLS for different sizes viz. 8mm,10mm,12mm,16mm,20mm & 25mm of TMT-BARS of international quality for physical & chemical specifications.

After completing these successful assignments at D R CONGO I was again completely assigned the production, quality and BILLETS casting departments at STEEL MAKERS PVT. LTD. REDCLFF WORKS, ZIMBABWE (AFRICA), having TWO- 8 TONS INDUCTO THERM FURNACES AND ONE TWO STRAND CONTINEOUS CASTING MACHINES. This is an ISO 9001 Certified Company which exports all its products to SOUTH AFRICAN REGION.


QUALIFICATIONS

 M. Sc. (Chemistry)
 Good Computer skills. Experienced in handling MS-DOS, MS-Office, Financial Accounting using TALLY (7.2), MS-Excel etc, Operating/Browsing, the Internet. Desk Top Publishing & Flash-8.

CURRENT SALARY
