Get More Plants in Your Office

Funny enough, NASA has piles of research on how plants are amazingly capable of pulling all sorts of pollutants from indoor airspaces. It’s also been shown that pristine office environments make employees more productive. So get more plants in your office — they’ll lend vibrancy to your space and help your employees feel energized. Any plant is better than no plant, but the following foliage are exceptionally good filters (see Clean Air Gardening for more info).

* Heartleaf (Philodendron scandens)
* Elephant Ear (Philodendron domesticum)
* Cornstalk Dracaena (Dracaena fragrans)
* English Ivy (Hedera helix)
* Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum)
* Janet Craig Dracaena (Dracaena deremensis)
* Warneck Dracaena (Dracaena deremensis)
* Weeping Fig (Ficus benjamina)
* Golden Pothos (Epipiremnum aureum)

* Chinese Evergreen (Aglaonema modestum)
* Bamboo or Reed Palm (Chamaedorea sefritzii)
* Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata)
* Red-Edged Dracaena (Dracaena marginata)

All these plants should be available at your local nursery. I was planning to find images of each one, but that would take more time than it’s worth, when you can just copy the name of the plant you’d like to see and then paste it into a Google image search or the search field of your favorite photo-sharing Web site.
