Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Awards 2014

Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI) proudly announces the names of the award winners of the Third National Innovation Competition of Young Technologists (Yuva Yantriks) - Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Awards 2014. The award ceremony will be held at Ravi J Mathai Centre, IIM Ahmedabad 4:30 PM onwards where Dr RA Mashelkar, Chairperson- National Innovation Foundation - India, National Research Professor and President, Global Research Alliance, would give away the awards. There would also be an exhibition of all innovations that are to be recognized in the function.
To promote culture of innovation amongst the young minds of the country, SRISTI has established these national awards for innovative student/faculty projects in engineering, pharmacy, science and applied technologies in the following three categories.
1. More from Less for Many (MLM) Award
2. SRISTI Socially Relevant Technological Innovation Award
3. Technological Edge / Strategic Innovation Award
In all 1400 nominations were received from 313 Technology and Scientific Institutions from 24 states of the country. These entries were clustered in 54 Technology Fields. The Nominations were considered for the competition and after careful review by 150 Jury members from 60 Universities and MNC R&D Labs across India and Abroad, 40 entries were selected for recognition. There are in total Thirteen awards and Twenty seven appreciations in the above three categories as per the details below.
