We call the game Finance League. Finance League brings together various areas of finance under one umbrella. It is a one-of-its-kind national level finance event which tests the sharpest and the brightest financial brains of India’s top B-schools in banking, insurance, equity markets, forex markets – basically anything under the sun in finance.
Through an extensive screening process, the qualifying rounds of the competition will ensure that only students with sound fundamentals advance to the on-campus rounds. The teams will undergo gruelling competitions testing their business acumen, ability to think on their feet, quantitative skills, analytical skills, stress handling ability as well as communication skills. The versatility of team members and extensive knowledge will be the key to winning this competition.
The competition commenced one month prior to the management fest. Finance League will be a 4-round event with 2nd round split into two stages. The first round will be an online quiz which will test participants' knowledge in all the domains of finance. Top 50 teams clearing this round will reach the second round and get an opportunity to work on a case study. After that, the top 8 teams will make it to the on-campus rounds based on their performance in case study and will present their solutions to an eminent panel at IIM Indore during ãhvãn ‘12. There will be 2 other campus rounds besides the case study presentation whose details will be shared with the participants on the spot.
The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of INR 50,000 and the runner up will be awarded a cash prize of INR 25,000. Apart from these there are on the spot prizes worth INR 10,000 to be won.
The participation in this event has been outstanding from day one. For the quiz event more than 1,397 people participated. With such numbers, it is safe to say that Finance League is definitely in a league of its own!
