Recently,Telugu superstart Mr.Chiranjeevi launched political party. He is not the first filmstar to do so.Before him two big guys launched parties and they were successful in their venture.MGR in TN and NTR in AP were Chiranjeevi's precursor.NTR was very famous in AP and MGR was one of the ppl who ruled TN for close to 10 yrs.The common line for 3 of them is that they are famous even before they ventured into politics. So it is easy for them to reach to the ppl thru their fan-club and they have advantage as their images will help them to convince ppl.

So,filmstars always have an advantage in politics.

ya...its true...film stars have an advantage in politics...c the eg. of govinda in mubai..he is an MP..but work is not commited from them for the ppl of their location...this is the big concern in india

Bcoz we r a country which believes in IDOL worship more than anything else. We believe if we do no good to people n society YET if we keep enchanting n praising GOD. By means of Mantras n Puja Paths, LORD will favour us, Indians by all means r IRRATIONAL, Our Faith n beliefs r unquestionable subjects, we wont let anyone SHOW us the TRUTH.

For Filmstars its a natural inclination, when in Films what all they want more n more ppl watching their Movies, and in states like AP, TN it just gets bigger. Everybody longs for adulation.

Its same as Models venturing into Films, Actors turning Directores - Producers.

Ours is a cinema-going public..As earlier said, majority of the people treat them as idols.. In case of AP ,NTR decided to enter politics when he was asked what he has done to the state when he was treated as a GOD.. Though mocked by Congress after his launch and his policies,he won a landslide victory after the launch of his new TDP party in 1980's but it lost in the subsequent election.. Similarly Chiranjeevi is motivated by his fans to enter politics expecting him to make new reforms in the governance.. So I feel though they have the initial advantage over others, it wont matter much later..

the biggest advantage film stars have is that they already have a big public following. this gives them and edge. the problem is that they are not interested in public service, they are only interested in publicity!

yes definately y not,the most common factor btwn the politician & a film star tht they both have huge financial backgrnds on wch they can easily make any one stand on thier command.

yes for sure... indian public "masses" judge you by your popularity and not by your knowledege and capability.
