It has been observed in the recent IIFT papers that getting around 10 correct answers in each of the sections gets one a call. As far as the pattern is concerned, it keeps varying from year to year.

Sections are usually of moderate level of difficulty. Data Interpretation section is usually calculation intensive and cumbersome. But, I suggest that students should enter the examination hall without any preconceived notion.

DI in IIFT is mostly cumbersome. But it is not impossible to get direct questions hidden between the indirect ones.

It depends on the difficulty level. it is always better to attempt good number of questions, but as there would be negative marking, so avoid making wild guesses. If you are 50 per cent sure of an answer, you can take a calculated risk.

For GK, you can read different materials given by MBA coaching institutes. You can also purchase some good GK book and prepare. Current affairs are very important.

No, wild guess is not advised at all. Remember, there is negative marking. But you can take some calculated risks if you are 50 per cent sure of the answer.

Starting from numbers to geometry to probability, everything is important. You cannot afford to leave any section since you never know from which section they will give a relatively easy question. At the end of the day you have to come in top 1000 out of 50, 000 students!

If the cut-off is mentioned in the paper, it is there. If it is not mentioned, then there are no sectional cut-offs. The Kolkata campus also has same curriculum and placements as Delhi.
