Three possible reasons can be quoted for the failure of women from getting access to Venture Capital.
Shortage of Women in the VC field.--Only 10% fo the venture capitalist are female.
Women tend to sell themselves short when pitching their company.--Even they have confidence in themselves they may not want to over promise, which can work against them in VC world.
Lack of relationship.
Like everything else in business VC funding business decisions are heavily influenced by relationships. Simply getting in front of a venture capitalist to make your pitch requires knowing someone who knows someone, and so on.
Women may be less likely to have the connections with people with money to invest.
