- Latency = The delay before a transfer of data begins (e.g., high latency in video calls).

- Cache = A storage location where frequently accessed data is kept for faster retrieval (e.g., browser cache for faster loading).

- Phishing = A cyberattack method that tricks individuals into revealing sensitive information (e.g., phishing email asking for account details).

- Botnet = A network of compromised computers controlled by cybercriminals for malicious use (e.g., using a botnet for a DDoS attack).



2. Security & Privacy

- DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) = A cyberattack where multiple systems overwhelm a website, causing it to crash (e.g., a DDoS attack taking down a website).

- Rootkit = Malicious software that allows unauthorized users to hide their presence on a computer system (e.g., hackers using a rootkit to evade detection).

- Firewall Rule = Instructions set within a firewall to manage network traffic (e.g., blocking suspicious IP addresses).

- Zero-Day = A security vulnerability unknown to the software maker, leaving systems vulnerable until a fix is provided (e.g., exploiting a zero-day vulnerability).
