 Ethics is ³science of morals´ Ethics refers to the code of conduct that guides an individual while dealing in situation.  It implies systematizing , defending , & recommending the concepts of right or wrong behaviour.  It deals with values relating to human conduct with respect to right and wrong of certain action and goodness or badness of the motives and the end or the result of such actions.

 Business Ethics refers to application of ethical judgment to business activities.  Business Ethics concerns with what is right or wrong in the workplace.  Business Ethics can be defined as a normative study of moral standards as they apply to business policies, institutions and human behaviour.

?The Chartered Institute of Marketing defines it as ³the management process responsible for identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer requirements profitably." ?To Create Customer Value ?It covers all the diverse elements involved in successfully promoting and selling a product or service. ?

 Adarsh, the 31-floor high rise society in Mumbai, was supposed to provide subsidized housing for war widows and veterans of the Kargil war. Instead, the beneficiaries and occupants included senior Maharashtra politicians, top bureaucrats, and army brass. It¶s been revealed that members of this elite society secured flats for around Rs. 60 lakh apiece, though each flat is worth more than Rs. 5 crores in the market.  some members filed information stating their salaries to be fraction of the real figures; few of them showing their monthly income to be less than that of the entry-level public sector employee.
