Asian markets were trading higher on Monday. China markets outperforming the region after a new launch date was announced for an anticipated cross-border trading link.

hina’s Shanghai Composite gained 1.10 percent or 26.57 points at 2,444.74.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 1.85 percent or 436.37 points at 23,986.61.

Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.70 percent or 22.89 points at 3,309.28.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite rose 1.22 percent or 23.67 points at 1,963.54.

Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted jumped 1.55 percent or 138.11 points at 9,050.73.

Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.68 percent or 115.48 points at 16,764.90.
 
Asian equity markets were mostly higher on Tuesday following another record close on Wall Street, but falling commodity prices weighed down Australian markets.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite advanced 0.79 percent or 19.62 points at 2,493.29.

Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng added 0.50 percent or 119.84 points at 23,864.54.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei rose 0.68 percent or 113.30 points at 16,893.83.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite was up 0.19 percent or 3.80 points at 1,962.03.

Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,042.24.

Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was flat at 3,303.08.

Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted shed 0.51 percent or 46.21 points at 8,987.93.
