Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 18.87 points to 22,972.63 and Japan’s Nikkei 225 Average gained 133.87 points or 0.93 percent to 14,471.66 while China’s Shanghai Composite fell 2.90 points or 0.14 percent to 2,018.38, at 8:05 hours IST.

Singapore’s Straits Times climbed 8.24 points or 0.25 percent to 3,273.90 and Taiwan Weighted was up 27.29 points or 0.30 percent to 8,996.92. However, South Korea’s Seoul Composite fell 0.15 point to 2,015.44.
 
Asian Market Update by Epic Research

Asian stocks rose on Monday after the S&P 500 closed at a record high on Friday and as geopolitical risks faded following a victory for billionaire Petro Poroshenko in Ukrainian elections.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite was up 6.39 points or 0.31 percent to 2,040.96 and Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng climbed 86.43 points or 0.38 percent to 23,052.29, at 8:00 hours IST.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei 225 Average rose 109.38 points or 0.76 percent to 14,571.55 and Straits Times advanced 11.07 points or 0.34 percent to 3,289.09.

Taiwan Weighted gained 40.87 points or 0.45 percent to 9,049.09 while South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite fell 2.39 points to 2,014.78.

Asian stock markets rose on Wednesday following another record high for the S&P 500 index overnight and the prospect of fresh monetary stimulus in Europe.

Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng was up 41.89 points or 0.18 percent to 22,986.19 and Japan%u2019s Nikkei 225 Average gained 7.21 points to 14,643.73.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite rose 8.21 points or 0.41 percent to 2,005.84 and Taiwan Weighted climbed 41.10 points or 0.45 percent to 9,096.39.

However, China%u2019s Shanghai Composite was down 2.31 points to 2,032.25 and Singapore%u2019s Straits Times fell 0.81 point to 3,273.25.
