Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian stock markets were mostly higher on Monday following last week's rally on Wall Street, as investors brushed off a worse-than-expected US jobs report.

China's Shanghai Composite added 1.01 percent or 20.59 points at 2,065.09. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was flat at 21,646.65.

Japan's Nikkei gained 1.12 percent or 162.29 points at 14,624.70. Singapore's Straits Times was up 0.18 percent or 5.44 points at 3,018.58.

South Korea's Seoul Composite was flat at 1,924.02. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted rose 0.69 percent or 57.58 points at 8,444.93.

Asian equity markets were mostly higher on Tuesday but volumes were light with Japanese markets closed and as investors awaited a speech from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 0.98 percent or 212 points at 21,791.26. Singapore's Straits Times added 0.47 percent or 14.06 points at 3,031.26. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 0.29 percent or 24.50 points at 8,416.45. South Korea's Seoul Composite was up 0.10 percent or 2 points at 1,925.30. China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.09 percent or 1.87 points at 2,087.93.
 
Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian stocks gained on Wednesday after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen reassured Wall Street that the Fed would continue to provide monetary stimulus to bolster the economy.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite was down 0.23 percent or 4.84 points at 2098.83. Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng added 1.78 percent or 383.72 points at 21,962.98.

Singapore%u2019s Straits Times advanced 0.39 percent or 11.90 points at 3,029.10. South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite gained 0.46 percent or 8.76 points at 1,932.06.

Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was up 0.46 percent or 38.61 points at 8,430.56. Japan%u2019s Nikkei added 0.93 percent or 137.44 points at 14855.78.
