Asian markets were trading mixed on Friday. China’s Shanghai Composite fell 0.36 percent or 7.35 points at 2,020.27.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.18 percent or 40.44 points at 22,827.77.

Japan’s Nikkei shed 0.45 percent or 70.81 points at 15,809.52.

Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,146.12.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite fell 0.38 percent or 7.43 points at 1,938.68.

Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.41 percent or 35.12 points at 8,549.80.
 
EPIC ASIAN MARKET UPDATE

Asian markets were trading firm on Monday. China%u2019s Shanghai Composite rose 0.28 percent or 5.58 points at 2,018.87.

Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng was up 0.15 percent or 35.19 points at 22,881.44.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite added 0.65 percent or 12.63 points at 1,951.17.

Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted gained 0.80 percent or 68.57 points at 8,597.92.

Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was flat at 3,146.24. Japan%u2019s Nikkei shut today.
 
EPIC ASIAN MARKETS UPDATE

Asian equity markets followed their US peers lower on Tuesday with Japan%u2019s benchmark index leading losses by over 2 percent after the blue-chip Dow posted its biggest decline in three months.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite shed 0.33 percent or 6.60 points at 2,002.96.

Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng declined 0.52 percent or 119.82 points at 22,768.94.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei plunged 2.28 percent or 363.31 points at 15,548.75.

Singapore%u2019s Straits Times fell 0.39 percent or 12.28 points at 3,123.21.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite was up 0.11 percent or 2.11 points at 1,951.03.

Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.25 percent or 21.02 points at 8,545.18.
 
EPIC ASIAN MARKETS UPDATE

Asian stock markets enjoyed a strong rebound on Wednesday following the previous day%u2019s sell-off after upbeat US data saw Wall Street chalk up its strongest performance of the new year.

Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng rose 0.47 percent or 106.99 points at 22,898.27 and Japan%u2019s Nikkei gained 1.65 percent or 253.96 points at 15,676.36.

Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was up 0.51 percent or 15.84 points at 3,139.59 and South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite jumped 0.40 percent or 7.73 points at 1,953.80.

Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted added 0.66 percent or 56.27 points at 8,604.41 while China%u2019s Shanghai Composite shed 0.26 percent or 5.20 points at 2,021.64.
