Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara University is at the global nexus of high technology industry, venture capital

The Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is the hub of SCU programs that help promote economic growth and the creation
of new businesses. Through coursework, internships, co-curricular programs and networking, the CIE helps individuals turn their ideas

ENTREPRENEURSHIP & NEW VENTURE CREATION MBA
CONCENTRATION: This concentration includes Small Business
Entrepreneurship, Business Plan Investor Pitch Practicum, and
11 elective units that afford deep immersion in Silicon Valley
entrepreneurship.
LEADING INNOVATIVE ORGANIZATIONS MBA CONCENTRATION: This
concentration includes Practice of Morality of Leadership and 12
units from a focused list of courses to deepen understanding of
innovation, leadership in complex environments, team/project
management, and decision-making skills.
STUDENT NETWORK: The MBA Entrepreneurs Connection (MBA
EC) strives to bring entrepreneurial-minded students, alumni,
faculty, and industry partners together into an environment that
educates, promotes, and fosters venture startup.
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR WEEK NOVEMBER 16-22: The CIE hosts
a variety of events joining the millions of participants across 140
countries celebrating innovators and job creators who launch
startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and
expand human welfare.
STARTUP INTERNSHIPS: Opportunity to apply entrepreneurial skills
in Silicon Valley startups.
CIE OFFICE HOURS FOR ENTREPRENEURS: Quarterly, the CIE
brings in Silicon Valley experts to meet with students in 20-
minute one-on-one sessions. Students also meet with the CIE
on an ad-hoc basis year round for startup review and assistance.
SILICON VALLEY EVENTS: Join our mailing lists to receive
information on Silicon Valley networking event attendance
opportunities, most with free or discounted admission.
BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITIONS: Students compete in the annual
CIE $5,000 Business Plan Pitch Competition as well as other
on-and off-campus events. The CIE also connects and assists
students with competition advice, mentoring and coaching.

in the Silicon Valley Regional of the Venture Capital Investment
Competition, the nation's premiere strategy competition for
venture-minded and entrepreneurial MBA students.

events featuring alumni entrepreneurs sharing their experiences
and stories with current students.
CIE FIELD TRIPS: The CIE hosts quarterly field trips to successful
