Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test B Tech 2012 (JKCET B Tech)
Structure of JKCET B Tech
The pattern of the examination is slightly different from other engineering examinations. All other examinations give more preference to mathematics, but in Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test B Tech (JKCET B Tech) examination it is different. All the subjects are given equal importance. There will questions of 75 marks from each topic. Each question will gain you one mark and vice versa. That is a total of 75 questions from each topic which has to be completed in 90 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidate applying for this entrance exam should be a permanent resident of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
Candidate should have passed the plus 2 exam or equivalent from a recognized board / Uni.
Should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. this is only in the case of general students. For reserved category students the minimum marks to be scored in the qualifying examination is 40%.
Candidate must have studied subjects like English, physics, chemistry and mathematics in the 11th and 12th standard.
Candidates appearing the 10+2 board exam can also apply for this exam. but they should be able to produce the pass certificate at the time of admission.
How to Apply?
Candidate can only buy the forms from the selected branches of J&K banks LTD.candidates can also submit the application form after downloading it from the website .The website address will be given in the official website of Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test. The application form can only be brought after paying the examination fee.
How to fill the Form?
Candidate should be aware of the details to be furnished in the application form. Candidate should fill the form with precision. All the matters entered should be correct and candidate should be able to submit the proof while the admission. More over if any details furnished is found incorrect, then candidate can be barred from writing any more common entrance test conducted by Jammu and Kashmir government.
