Enthusiasm while recruiting Vs Empathy during layoff's

I dont care where I was born, but I fear about the way I would die.Well that is life as a whole.If principle applied in part towards just "career" portion the answer is no different. I dont think the style of recruitment or nature of recruitment has anything in the long run,neither for the organisation nor the employee but empathy during lay offs is all about doing one's best during the worst phase.Lay off is after all a phase.
